About Bioindividual Nutrition

Proper nutrition – including both macro- and micronutrients – are essential for normal brain function. To that end, studies have shown that a poor diet can literally affect your mental health.

Chronic inflammation is one of the greatest enemies of proper brain function. This condition can suppress the manufacture of proteins that causes new brain cell growth as well as protect the brain from stress. Inflammation also saps your cellular energy production. Chronic inflammation can be caused by several factors, including a diet high in carbohydrates. The modern western diet is often loaded with carbohydrates.

That is why we will assess your diet and examine your eating habits, as your routines and dietary makeup can worsen – or even create – issues such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders.
