Led by highly qualified and caring providers, Bridgepoint Clinic offers patients an accommodating approach to mental health that utilizes both traditional and cutting-edge approaches to psychiatry. This allows us to better shape your treatment and individualize it for what produces the optimum results. Our staff has spent years providing aid for patients, honing their understanding of psychiatry while also expanding into new scientific methods that have proven helpful for a wide spectrum of patients. Eager to aid those in need, our staff is here to help, following a mission led by our founders.

Dr. Kantamneni

Psychiatrist & Co-Founder
Dr. Kantamneni completed his training Residency in 2011 at the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science and a Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Illinois-Chicago in 2013. He trained as a research fellow during his psychiatry residency and child and adolescent fellowship. Dr. Kantamneni is board-certified in Psychiatry through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Darshan Patel

Dr. Patel

Psychiatrist & Co-Founder
Dr. Patel is a clinical psychiatrist who likes to take a methodical approach in understanding the complex situations bringing patients to his attention. He enjoys working with individuals of all ages but specializes in working with children and families.

Dr. Patel completed his training in Adult Psychiatry and a Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Illinois-Chicago. He trained as a research fellow during his psychiatry residency and child and adolescent fellowship. Dr. Patel is board-certified in Adult Psychiatry through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and board eligible in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry. In addition to clinical work, Dr. Patel enjoys teaching a compliment of clinicians, including medical students and fellows training to become child and adolescent psychiatrists.

Gaelle Gounteni

Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Gaelle-Laure Gounteni is a board-certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner. She began her training at Georgia State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University. Gaelle cared for adolescent and adult patients in a variety of settings, including in-patient hospitals, community group homes, and out-patient practices. Her expertise lies in psychopharmacology and psychotherapy for a variety of mental health disorders.

Gaelle provides psychiatric evaluations and medication management with special attention to individual needs such as the patient’s health history, specific context, stressful or traumatic life experiences or circumstances. Gaelle addresses her patients’ concerns with patience, warmth, understanding, and helpful explanations that facilitate treatment and the patient's sense of comfort and trust. She is flexible and uses an integrative approach to meet the needs and desired outcomes of her patient. Gaelle is enthusiastic to apply her experience and compassion with clients as they begin to address issues that will help them to improve their quality of life and attain a sense of fulfillment. Her primary focuses are providing honest communication with her patients and quality resources for all those involved.

Gaelle is an active member of several professional organizations including the American College of Nurse Practitioners, Sigma Theta Tau, and the International Honor Society of Nursing. She is also fluent in French.
Carla Odeniyi

Carla Odeniyi

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, PMHNP-BC
Carla Odeniyi is Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and has 8 years of experience in healthcare. Carla has a wide variety of experience from ED, outpatient, pediatrics, geriatrics, and women’s health. Carla is an Air Force Veterans with 13 years of service. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2013, then a Master’s of Science in Health Care Policy from Chamberlain College of Nursing and finally a Post Graduate Certificate as Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in 2021.

Under the expert guidance of Dr. Kantamneni, Carla is always eager to learn new treatment plans and therapeutic techniques to better assist her clients. With the goal of destigmatizing mental illness and ensuring her clients are well-informed about leading a healthy lifestyle, Carla becomes a compassionate and non-judgmental healthcare professional. Her aim is to empower clients to actively participate in their treatment plans, fostering compliance and promoting their overall well-being.

Carla enjoys spending time with her family, photography and is an avid traveler. Carla is a world traveler and has lived in Germany twice, Japan, and Korea. She enjoys learning new cultures and different perspectives.

Jessica Perez

Clinical Social Worker
Jessica Perez, MSW, LCSW is a licensed Clinical Social Worker and Bridgepoint’s Clinical Director. Jessica received her Master’s degree in Social Work from The University of Georgia. Jessica began her work in the field in 2011 where she volunteered for a grief camp for children experiencing the loss of a parent or sibling. Early in her career, Jessica worked as a counselor in Gwinnett County Detention Center and in crisis stabilization at local psychiatric hospital- later transitioning to be the Lead therapist for Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program.

Aside from her leadership duties at Bridgepoint, Jessica is also seeing clients for therapy. Jessica has extensive training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and practices from an Attachment Theory perspective and combines somatic awareness and cognitive restructuring. Jessica specializes in grief, mood disorders, trauma, and infertility. Jessica is out of network with all insurance companies but will provide a superbill.

Edward Hicks

Therapist
Edward Hicks, APC, received his degrees in Psychology and Psychotherapy from University of Alabama at Birmingham (Undergraduate) and Masters from Richmont Graduate University (Masters). He has since worked for almost a decade in Mental Health Hospitals serving as a therapist and a lead in adolescent, addictions and compulsion disorders, and adult treatments. Edward specializes in Adolescent clients, addictions, healthy media practice (video game and media compulsion), anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation and self harm, and psychosis.

Edward is excellent with working with family, couples, adults, and adolescent clients. He works through use of talk therapy, but also incorporates and offers media and experiential therapy, such as Dungeons and Dragons therapy, improve therapy, and some video game and media therapy. Edward Hicks sees clients Monday through Friday, with both morning and evening availability.
