Weapons of Mass Instruction: A Schoolteacher’s Journey Through The Dark World of Compulsory Education
This is a fascinating book that describes the history of pubic education in America and it’s effects on American children. In the wake of the parents right’s movement, I’ve found myself referring many of my friends and colleagues to this book to help them better understand what they are really getting in public schools. At a time when independent thinking is more important than every, I highly recommend John Taylor Gatto’s prescient book on the impact of such an education system.
